Sunday In Review

March 30, 2009 at 1:25 pm (Uncategorized)

Yesterday was awesome!  Here are some highlights:

-We premiered KidzWorship!  KidzWorship is our new worship experience for 5 years old to 5th grade on Sunday mornings.  Yesterday we had KidzWorship with EVERYONE!  Everyone got to be 7 years old!  (And most of them liked it!)

-Gary.  I asked everyone to pretend they were 7 years old, and Gary took me seriously.  Almost immediately he threw something at me!  In perfect 7 year old form!

– Ed.  Leigh’s friend Ed that came took the day from good to great!  If you met Ed, you understand he has some challenges that most of us don’t have.  But he loved the KidzWorship!  In fact, as soon as we were finished he rushed me at the stage and aske dif he could have a copy of that.  And if he could have a copy of all the episodes.  He was overwhelmed with such joy!  It was amazing!

-It was great to see everyone up and moving and dancing!  It is a blessing to be able to provide such a high energy, high impact time every week for our kids.  We can NEVER go wrong investing time, energy and resources in our children!

– I am stinkin’ excited about our volunteers!  Bryan and Kathy are leading the first month, and Matt and Kara are up for month 2!  But we need more volunteers!  It is something both rewarding and exhausting!  If you have any questions, get in touch with me!

– Again, we had 50 people at DCC!  Woot!

– As good and fun as yesterday was, I believe with everything I am that the best is yet to come!  “Greater things have yet to come, greater things are still to be done in this city!”

– I believe we brought Jesus praise and honor yesterday. We literally became like the little children. Sweet!
